The objective of this course is to bring a specialized focus on human performance for the SWAT officer. The course will focus on strength and conditioning (S&C) workout programming, S&C lifting techniques and movements, injury prevention, nutrition, and recovery. This course will differ from other courses in the industry in that it will focus solely on the correlation and application to the SWAT officer, and how human performance affects tactics and job function. The first day will be in the classroom and gym, with different subject matter experts from the S&C community, all with a background of working with special operations units, teaching their respective blocks. The second day will carry over to teaching and training with range drills highlighting how human performance affects marksmanship and how to train more effectively and efficiently when implementing S&C. The third day will be teach-backs and testing. The intention of this course is to enhance performance, readiness, and longevity of the officer, to be certified in the TPL curriculum, and to then be an asset to their department and team.

Jake Labhart finished is an Army Infantry veteran, who went on to complete his doctorate before training federal and local LE special operations units in human performance. He specializes in building human performance teams that are focused on enhancing LE special operations units training effectiveness, and performance optimization. All of the team will have worked with special operations units or received follow on training guiding their expertise to be focused on the LE special operations field. The goal is to bring in experts in their respective fields, who understand the LE community job functions, to educate and arm the attending officers with knowledge to be an asset and force multiplier in the LE community.

Lastly, this course will be free of cost. Sponsors have paid for the admission of officers in the course. In addition, there will be swag bags from the sponsors that will be given out to the class, as well as prize packs for winning officers. Current sponsors will include Ten Thousand, Staccato, SOLGW, and Magpul.
