David Meyers is a senior training Sergeant, lead instructor, and curriculum developer with over two decades of dedicated service, one decade in high-risk operational active-duty military envionments and a decade of law enforcement instruction. He currently serves as the Senior Instructor at the highly respected Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training (MCTFT) program, where he manages a team of 15 instructors who trained 1,340 law enforcement special operations and narcotics teams in 2025 alone.
With 22 months of overseas combat experience and a career spanning 21 years of military and tactical service, David specializes in translating complex operational concepts into actionable, high-performance training LE programs. He has developed multiple federally approved Night Vision Goggle (NVG) courses and serves as a lead subject matter expert in night operations, low-light tactics, and vehicle CQB. He is the sole vehicle CQB instructor for the Clay County Sheriff's Office academy and a co-instructor for FSA's Dynamic Vehicle Engagment Course launched in May 2026.
Prior to his current role, David's leadership experience included serving as a First Sergeant managing 168 personnel, as well as working in the corporate sector for Johnson & Johnson while completing his Bachelor of Science degree. A contributing author for the Florida SWAT Association Magazine, David is dedicated to providing cutting-edge, science-based instruction to law enforcement officers and the military.
