This course is designed to introduce Armored Vehicle Operations to the Tactical Operator involved in many aspects of critical incidents. It is a very stressful and intense course that requires an abundant amount of course participation as the course is designed to be “hands on.” The class will include two days of driving, live fire operations, officer & hostage rescue operations, high risk vehicle take downs, mount and dismount tactics, breaching methods and immediate action drills utilizing the Armored Vehicle.
This course is designed to provide tactical operators with techniques that will provide him/her with the ability to engage and survive an ambush against an opponent that has them outgunned, and/or when cover is limited. This is an expanded/full version of the extremely popular class which is taught annually at the SWAT Roundup International by well respected instructors.
Day 1 of this course will focus on introducing operators to urban warfare tactics developed by the British SAS during combat operations against the IRA. Each operator will be shown methods to utilize available cover in a simulated urban environment such as street curbs etc. Other tactics will be shown that maximize cover in and around a vehicle. These methods are designed to give each operator a tactical edge when dismounting their vehicle is not feasible. Modified shooting positions such as prone, sitting and kneeling will be used to utilize available cover. In addition Day 2 of this course will focus on attacking a vehicle which may contain hostile threats otherwise known as a Dynamic Vehicle Take-Down. These techniques were developed by the Orlando PD and are currently being utilized. Both days will give each operator the opportunity to engage threats through windshield glass and car doors. Class size is limited due to high intensity training and 1 on 1 instruction for safety reasons so register early to reserve your spot today.
